Write Your Story

This year at Quest Jr. High, we're embarking on a journey that celebrates the power of personal narrative with our school theme: "Write Your Story." As the principal, I believe that every student is the author of their own life, capable of shaping their future with intention, creativity, and a sense of purpose. This theme is not just a catchphrase—it's a guiding principle that will influence everything we do throughout the year.

Encouraging Reflection and Growth

By framing the school year as part of each student’s personal story, we’re fostering an environment that encourages reflection, growth, and resilience. Life is filled with ups and downs, and it’s important for our students to see these moments as chapters in their story—opportunities to learn, adapt, and ultimately thrive. Whether they’re navigating challenges or celebrating achievements, this theme reminds our students that they are in control of their narrative, and that every day is a new page waiting to be written.

Integrating the Theme Throughout the Year

"Write Your Story" isn’t just a one-time message; it’s a theme that will be woven into our daily activities, classroom projects, and school-wide initiatives. We’ll explore diverse ways for students to express their stories, whether through writing, art, music, or other forms of personal expression. From reflective journaling in class to storytelling events that highlight student experiences, we’ll provide countless opportunities for our students to connect with their narrative and share it with others.

Inspiration and Motivation

To complement our theme, we've chosen the song "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield as a source of daily inspiration. The song’s uplifting message of beginning each day with a blank page and having the power to shape your future resonates deeply with both students and staff. It serves as a constant reminder that each of us holds the pen to our own story, and that our potential is truly limitless.

A Culture of Storytelling

Through "Write Your Story," we aim to create a school culture where every student’s story is valued, and where they feel inspired to write a narrative filled with growth, creativity, and achievement. We want our students to understand that their stories matter—that they are seen, heard, and supported as they navigate their educational journey.

What’s Your School’s Theme?

As we embark on this exciting journey, I’d love to hear from you. If you could choose a theme for your school, what would it be? How could it inspire your students and staff to connect, grow, and thrive together? Let’s start a conversation about the power of themes in shaping school culture and inspiring greatness in every student.
